Every month has its own special flower. No matter when you were born, you can make stunning floral arrangements using blooms associated with, and available during, your birth month. Let’s share what your birth flower is and what other flowers pair well with them.

The 12 Birth Flowers

1. January

Carnation and snowdrop are blooms correlated with January. They come in a number of different colors and pair well with mums and baby's breath. Greenery, such as eucalyptus, is also effective.

2. February

Despite Valentine’s Day, February is represented by violets and primrose. Both are edible flowers used in floral arrangements and in baking. These are vibrantly colored plants that accent roses, dahlias, and magnolias well.

3. March

4. April

Daisies are known for being bright, happy, and warm, just like the month of April. Pair them with other summery buds. This could include tulips, hydrangeas, or peonies.

5. May

Lily of the valley and hawthorn are two lesser-known flowers. The lily of the valley has small, bell-shaped blooms while a hawthorn is a low-growing shrub that blooms white flowers. They are both best used as accents within floral arrangements because of their small size.

6. June

June babies claim the rose. Often, these statement flowers make up an entire bouquet all on their own. Because they come in a variety of colors, many florists create variety through color instead of flower type.

7. July

Larkspur is used to add height to floral arrangements. They grow upwards and bloom in full, delicate sprouts. Set beside hydrangeas and freesia, they make a voluminous bouquet.

8. August

August is represented by the poppy, a bright, cheery bloom that comes in a variety of shades. Create a natural-looking arrangement by pairing them with artichoke, banksia, and greenery.

9. September

Aster and morning glory belong to September. Aster has a yellow center with pink or purple blooms. Morning glory has a white center and is blue or purple in color. The flowers go well together, or alongside thistle.

10. October

Marigolds are bright orange or yellow, lively, and energetic. Create a stunning bouquet by placing them with other bold flowers, such as marigolds and Persian carpet zinnias.

11. November

November's flower is the chrysanthemum. Also known as mums, this is a pompom-like bloom that works well on its own or matched alongside daisies or red dahlias.

12. December

The narcissus is the December flower. Long, green stems bloom into minute, white flowers. They work well with a variety of other flowers as a compliment rather than a centerpiece.
