If the bottom isn't visible due to poor clarity, they may brush the walls first and allow the water to filter for at least a day before vacuuming. This will allow them to see the bottom more clearly. If necessary, they may shock the pool with more chlorine to clear it up.

Maintenance chemicals are added first, such as pH and calcium, to restore the water’s proper balance.
